- Sustainable Energy Efficient Buildings Project/HERD program implemented by College ESLG and Norwegian University for Science and Technology (NTNU);
- OSCAR Project: Value for Owners and End-Users of Property with implementing partners NTNU, EVRO-PF and ESLG;
- Kosovo Real Estate Market Study with implementing partners College ESLG and Kosovo Realty Group;
Through these projects, College ESLG has become a pioneer in Kosovo in the research in the field of sustainability, facilities management, and real estate.

RESEARCH-BASED TEACHING AT MASTER LEVEL
Research is a critical concept that is incorporated into the curriculum of the Master of Arts in Management of Real Estate and Infrastructure program. Research in this context refers to the systematic investigation of real estate and infrastructure management issues using scientific methods and approaches.
In the context of the curriculum, research is incorporated in several ways. Firstly, students are introduced to research methods and approaches, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation. They are taught how to design research projects, how to collect and analyze data, and how to present their findings.
Secondly, research is incorporated into the curriculum through the use of case studies and real-world problems. Students are exposed to real estate and infrastructure management issues and are taught how to apply research methods to solve these problems.
Thirdly, students are encouraged to conduct their own research projects as part of the curriculum. This may involve conducting research on a specific real estate or infrastructure management issue, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting their findings in the form of a research paper or project.
By incorporating research into the curriculum, the Master of Arts in Management of Real Estate and Infrastructure program aims to develop students' research skills and to equip them with the tools and knowledge needed to solve real-world problems in the field of real estate and infrastructure management.
How the research-based teaching is carried out at master level?
Determination of research objectives: The first step is to determine the
research objectives for the curriculum. This could include developing
students' research skills, exposing them to real-world research problems
in the real estate industry, and helping them to apply research methods
to real estate management issues. The research objectives of the
program are aligned with research objectives of the institution and are
designed in the consultation with the industry. The research objectives are determined in the field of sustainability in real estate management.
Identification of relevant research topics: The program management identifies relevant research topics that are important for the real estate industry. This could include topics such as property valuation, market analysis, investment analysis, real estate law, and sustainable development. Market analysis are done through contract research in joint partnerships with the industry, whereas other relevant research topics are identified in the consultation with the Research and Publishing Committee of College ESLG.
Design of research-oriented courses: Courses are designed in the way that they are oriented towards research. This includes courses such as research methods in real estate, quantitative techniques in real estate investments, and research project management. These courses should provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct research and develop a research project. All the courses have a strong research component that is present either through use of case studies and real-world problems as a study method or case study examinations as an assessment. Students are encouraged to conduct their own research projects as part of the curriculum, which has around 40 % weight in the course syllabi and substitutes the classic examination and sumative assessment.
Incorporation of research projects into the curriculum: Incorporation of research projects into the curriculum is designed to give students an opportunity to apply the research skills they have learned in the classroom. These projects could include case studies, market analysis, and research papers. The case studies from the industry, market analysis done individually in the program, and research projects of professors become study methods and assessment tools in each course.
Provision of access to research resources: Provide students with access to research resources, including academic journals, databases, and research centers. This will help students to conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest research in the field. Master students enjoy access to databases such as SAGE, Springer, EBSCO database.
Encouragement of collaboration and networking: Encourage collaboration and networking among students and faculty members. This could include organizing research workshops, inviting guest speakers, and facilitating research collaborations between students and faculty members.
Provision of feedback and evaluation: Provision of feedback and evaluation of the research projects helps students improve their research skills. This includes faculty review, and feedback from industry professionals.
